Senior Software Quality Assurance (SQA) Analyst
Job Description
Duties for this position include
· Writing and execution of manual test plans and manual test cases
· Identifying, prioritizing and submitting defects as well as retest of defect fixes
· Contributing to ongoing process improvements within the SQA organization
· Working directly with SQA, development and product management staffs
· Systems, integration, user acceptance and general performance testing as required
Required Experience:
Successful candidates must have
- Experience in Geosciences / Geology in one or more of the following areas:
- Velocity modeling
- Post-Stack Seismic Processing
- Synthetics
- Reservoir modeling / engineering
- Integration of seismic, geology and engineering data for reservoir modeling
· A strong understanding of SQA processes
· Hands-on experience testing complex applications in a Windows environment
· Ability to work independently
· Ability to meet aggressive project goals and timelines
· Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
· Excellent organizational skills
· Ability to work effectively in a detail oriented environment
· A Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or Geosciences
Position Level: Senior Level
Position Reports To: Director, Quality Assurance
This Job Requires the Following Skills:
Successful candidates will ideally have
- Familiarity with current SQA methodologies such as CMMi, and Agile
- Visual Basic programming experience is a plus
- Hands on experience with Quality Center and / or Quick Test Pro is a plus
· An advanced degree in computer science, software engineering, or Geosciences is a plus
